Magic

April surprised me with the more wonderful gift this weekend, the gift of magic!

In my mission to study all there is to learn about human culture, I somehow overlooked its extensive paranormal sub-culture. There is a castle in Hollywood dedicated entirely to the art of Magic. They call it, coincidentally enough, The Magic Castle.

I witnessed the most amazing illusions right in front of my eyes. Card tricks, crystal balls disappearing, one magician even guessed a number I thought of (and I think of some tricky numbers). Also, there is something magical about the castle itself. I know much of human legend is made up of mere stories and imagination, but there is definitely some power being harnessed in this place. I think some of my alien refugee friends would fit in well here.
